Science Communication

‘Little Big Science’ (in Hebrew: מדע גדול בקטנה) is an NPO ,and  one of the largest Science Communication organizations in Israel, which sets out to make all-STEM science accessible for the general public, while bridging the language barrier (English-Hebrew). I am a translator, writer and chief-editor of popular science articles, & I participate in engaging scientific activities, on multiple social media platforms, to gain tight interaction with both young and old audiences. I do it all on a voluntary basis, strongly believing that the public deserves reliable and relatable science, especially in the face of the current era of fake news.

To my 'Little big science' profile
December 2019: I was invited to record a podcast with the CEO of 'Little big science', Yomiran Nissan & Shimon Richik. We talked about how I became interested in the study of social insects and particularly ants, and I revealed some anecdotes on their fascinating life. The podcast is available with no charge in most known podcast apps (Podbean, Google, Spotify, Apple).

December 2022: Here I took our Israeli viewers to see how I excavate a desert ant colony in North Tel-Aviv! This video is a part of a series of videos intended to show-off women scientists at the NPO.
(English subtitles are available)

I also gave a live talk on the importance of insects to human life for Israeli children under Covid-19 quarantine (April 2020).

Occasionally, I also write popular science articles for the website of the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History, Tel-Aviv:
